	<title>23rd Annual Towson University Geographic Information Sciences Conference</title>
	<description>&lt;p&gt;The Call for Presentations for the 23rd Annual Towson University Geographic
Information Sciences Conference (TUgis 2010) is now available on the conference
Web site at &lt;a href="http://tugis.towson.edu/"&gt;http://tugis.towson.edu/&lt;/a&gt;. The theme for this year's conference, which
will be held on May 24 and 25 on the Towson University campus, is "GIS in Budget
Constrained Times: Doing More With Less." In keeping with the conference theme,
we are offering a discounted attendee registration fee through Friday, February 12.
To take advantage of this offer, click on the "Register for TUgis 2010" button on the
home page of the Web site.
I hope you will consider making a presentation at TUgis 2010. Presentations on all
topics related to GIS will be considered. Also, we are continuing our tradition of
offering presenters a discounted registration fee. The deadline for presentation
proposals is Friday, February 12.

	<title>ASPRS-PR Board Election Results</title>
	<description>&lt;p&gt;Manzer, Sisskind Elected to PR Board&lt;br /&gt;
    After a one-month voting period, the ASPRS Potomac Region selected John Manzer as the 2010 Secretary/Treasurer and Josh Sisskind as the new Region Director. Manzer, a Business Manager at GeoEye’s facility in Dulles, Virginia, will assume the board’s recording and financial duties. During his recent 3-year tenure as Region Director, John Manzer chaired the Communications Committee, served on three GeoTech Conference Planning Committees, and also served on the 2009 ASPRS Baltimore Spring Conference Planning Committee. He succeeds Chris Parrish, who will be the ASPRS-PR Vice President in 2010.&lt;/p&gt;
    &lt;p&gt; Josh Sisskind, an Image Scientist at ITT Space Systems, will be the new Region Director, serving a 3-year term from 2010 through 2012. Josh Sisskind joins the PR Board after serving on ASPRS National Committees, most recently as the Communications Councilor for the Student Advisory Council. He will bring membership recruitment experience to the Potomac Region.&lt;/p&gt;</description>
