Directions to NOAA Auditorium and Science Center:
1301 East-West Highway, Silver Spring, Maryland
(30 minutes from downtown Washington, DC on the MetroRail Red Line)
Walking Directions from MetroRail Station:
- Exit Silver Spring MetroRail Station (Red Line) on the Colesville Rd-Southside Exit
- Walk approx. 50 paces southwest to the corner of Colesville Rd and East-West Highway
- Turn left (southeast) and follow the sidewalk along East-West Highway approx. 310 paces, passing three NOAA buildings and two public parking garage entrances on your left.
- Turn left into the plaza containing the wave-pool at the green information kiosk on the sidewalk
- The building to the left is 1305 (NOAA SSMC#4), but don’t enter there. The NOAA Auditorium and Science Center (the location of GeoTech) is at 1301 East-West Highway, straight ahead at the rear of the plaza (behind the wave-pool)

Driving Directions from the Capital Beltway:
- Exit the Washington Capital Beltway (I495) on Exit #30 Colesville Road SOUTH. Follow Colesville Road PAST the intersection of Colesville and Georgia Avenue (i.e., stay on Colesville Road straight through the intersection)
- Take a left onto East-West Highway. The best public parking garage can be accessed through the 2 entrances on the left BUT MAY BE FULL IF YOU ARE ARRIVING LATE. See the parking information below. Only park in spots containing meters (the other spots are permit parking only), and be sure to put change in the meter or you will get ticketed.
- Once you have parked, the NOAA Auditorium and Science Center is just past the parking garage on East-West Highway and is marked with the street address #1301 at the rear of the plaza containing the wave-pool.
- The entrance to the NOAA Auditorium and Science Center is directly behind this wave-pool.

Keep in mind that it FILLS UP EARLY! Also, only park in spaces with meters, as the other spaces are for permit parking. Be sure to put money in the meter (quarters, dimes, and nickels are accepted), or you will get a ticket. Quarters will be available at the GeoTech registration desk.
