Scope of the Conference
The volume of remotely-sensed data and the number of applications for these data continue to grow exponentially. While this trend is exciting for those of us in the geospatial community, it does stress the limits of our existing geospatial infrastructure, including the systems (hardware, software, people, etc.) needed to maintain, disseminate, process and analyze these data and derivative products.
Building upon last year’s highly successful conference, GeoTech 2009 centers on the theme “Geospatial Infrastructure: Looking to the Future.” A distinguished and diverse group of professionals will offer an array of workshops and technical presentations exploring various aspects of geospatial infrastructure, with an emphasis on future trends and opportunities.
